for brighter futures

In Match for Brighter Futures, students help teenagers in need with their homework and coach them to develop their talents and realise their dreams.

match houses

Match houses are spacious homes located in different neighbourhoods of Maastricht. Students living here organise social activities and projects to connect their neighbourhood in exchange for rent discount.

Connect is a platform for student volunteering. It comprises a volunteering database, a webpage with inspiration for your own research or social initiative, and an offline helpdesk service.

the city deal

The City Deal is a research project in which the UM, Hogeschool Zuyd, the municipality and citizens work together on the question: how can we make Maastricht a sustainable and liveable city for all?

In HomeSharing, we bring together inhabitants with diverse support questions and young people in search of housing. It is an initiative that helps with diverse social issues such as housing shortages, loneliness and student integration.

SLIM believes that everyone has the right to study without (long-term) poverty. From the study desk in Pottenberg, SLIM supports UM students with a low income and residents of the district Pottenberg with a desire to study.
